Please note that until the end of June 2002, there is scaffolding in front of the hotel and a small number of rooms may be affected by this. The Royal British Hotel will be having the passenger elevator upgraded at the beginning of next year (5th January to 16th May 2003). While we look forward to welcoming your clients to the hotel, we would like to point out that over this period extensive refurbishment of our elevator will be in progress. This means that access to the hotel all our bedrooms and public areas will be by stairs only. Naturally, any assistance will be given by our staff to ensure the minimum of inconvenience is caused during their stay with us. The work that is to be carried out is to replace the existing lift with a larger model to allow access to people in wheelchairs, and to meet new EU regulations.
